摘要

Global warming and rapid population growth have contributed to the water shortage problemin many countries of the world. This problem necessitates the development of a water making systemthat is sustainable and environmentally friendly. Strong wind, high temperature, and high humidityexist in coastal regions along deserts, such as Mauritania. It is feasible to make water in such placesby extracting moisture from air using cooling system. The aim of this research is to develop a watermaker system via condensation of water vapor in the atmosphere. This investigation used Peltierdevices and a stabilized DC electric power source, which served as a substitute for a straight-bladedvertical axis wind turbine in arid regions. The effect of environmental condition and air flow on thewater production rate was investigated in this study.
