Effects of niobium and coiling temperature on retained austenite volume fraction had been investigated under different finishing rolling temperature by comparing 0.03%Nb TRIP (Transformation Induced Plasticity) steel with normal 1.5Si-1.5Mn TRIP steel based on thermo-dynamic simulation. The experimental results showed that niobium tended to improve retained austenite stability by solute drag effect instead of second phase particle precipitation for Nb steel under the processing of 400°C coiling temperature and 820°C finishing rolling temperature. Also, coiling temperature behaved different influence on retaining austenite under different finishing temperature. The austenite fraction revealed peak value of 9.04% at 400°C coiling temperature under 820°C finishing rolling temperature while slowly continuously increased from 7.44% to 7.95% as coiling temperature increased from 350°C to 450°C under 880°C finishing temperature.
