The experimental methods, such as SEM, TEM and chemical phase analysis, were used to study the strengthening mechanism of Ti micro-alloyed high strength steels produced by TSCR. Large number of quadrate TiN particles about several tens nanometers and nanometer precipitates were observed. The mass fraction and carbon content of MC phase obviously increased with titanium content increasing. The change of ferrite grain size with titanium content was not obvious. Precipitation -hardening of nanometer precipitates was responsible for strength increasing of high strength steels compared with conventional container strips.
