While many technical developments have been seen through FLOSS (Free/Libre or Open Source Software), corresponding business developments are less well established. This paper looks at the extent to which educational material and programs are available to teach the managers of both today and tomorrow how to make key open source management decisions related to investment in, selection of and management of open source tools. We report the beginnings of a "literature" on this subject, as well as a very positive response from academics, but there is little material yet available that is well-suited to management training and education. Some ongoing and planned activities to develop required materials are discussed. In particular, we have developed a detailed proposal for a case-writing competition that would aim to provide case studies suitable for the training task. We have also identified some conferences where "stories" that could serve as the inputs for training and educational material could be gathered. Other possible sources - discussion groups, working papers and courses - were also reviewed.
