摘要

China is vulnerable to a wide range of natural and human-induced disasters. Recent experience with major natural disasters demonstrated that more needs to be done to protect Chinese from the impacts of future disasters. Urban-rural integration development should pay more attention to disaster prevention and mitigation and developing a national disaster prevention and mitigation strategy aimed at enhancing China's capacity to prevent disasters before they occur and mitigate the loss when they happen. This paper suggests some measures and countermeasures prevent and mitigate disasters impacts through urban-rural integration development. Disaster prevention and mitigation is indispensable for urban-rural integration development.
