An anticlinal coal mining area is regarded as working area in Chongqing Libixia gorge of China. The distributing character of rock character and containing water character and resisting water character about roof and bottom of coal seam is researched, and the hydraulic linking is investigated between rock and coal seam. Through analyzing the distributing character and chemical character of surface water and ground water, the supply area, runoff area and outflow area are divided. Combined the geologic structure and methane content, the effect is studied that methane is moved, capped, sealed by hydrologic geology. At last, the typical character of methane enrichment controlled by hydrologic geology in Chongqing of China is put forward. The theory reference is provided for preventing from methane outburst and exploiting, and using methane.
