Study on Arrangement of Gas Holes on the Overlying Rock of Coalface

View as the characteristics of mining coal-seam group, it was the key to realize efficient, economic and safe coal production by scientific and reasonable determining the suction parameters such as the location of, method of and density of gas suction holes on the overlying formation. The method to establish the system of fuzzy and mathematical evaluation of the rock quality was introduced in this article. The rock quality of destructive zones and cracking zones on the overlying formation was evaluated by the method. According to the result of the evaluation, the author analyzed systemically deformation characteristics and states of fissured development about three kinds of rock in the process of the moving of coalfaces, and built the mechanical models, and determined the location of concentration zones of gas and of cracking zones on the overlying formation in different rock quality. These researches can provide theoretical guidance to arrangement of gas holes in the process of mining coal-seam group.
