The influence of installing spiral ring (tunnel support) in conduit on fire transmission and explosion wave in gas explosion was investigated in the laboratory of the steel conduit with the physical dimension of 80×80mm, which using high-accuracy dynamic data collect system to measure the parameters of flame and explosion wave in the process of explosion. The experiment result shows that the flame propagation velocity is enhanced by installing spiral ring in conduit on gas explosion, and with the increase of relative height the effect of flame acceleration is obviously, spiral ring has significant influence on gas explosion in the range of relative pitch; the theoretic explanation could summed up that the spiral ring make the gas flow velocity boundary layer of conduit wall separated, the surface of which forming boundary layer, induce to generate rotational flow. The present research provides important information on how to prevent and control the gas explosion.
