DEA Analysis of the Input and Produce about the Patent in China

摘要

This study investigates the input-output patent in China by the data envelopment analysis (DEA). In the patent literature, the DEA model is seldom used in the research about the input-output patent. First, we use the Primary Component Analysis (PCA) to select four indicators as the input indexes. With the proportion of scientists and engineers constituted the input personnel, the expenditure of the outlay for R&D, the units of R&D institution and GDP as the major factor of patent input, with the authorization of inventive patent and practical patent as the major factor of patent output, this paper establishes the model by anglicizing the relationship between the input of patent and the output of patent in China, and utilizes the DEA analysis. Then by empirically analyzing the input-output of patent in China for the period 2004~2005, this study researches the DEA efficiency and scale income of each regions’ input-output in China. In accordance with the result of calculation, this paper discusses the problem of the eastern region, middle region and western region in China.
