This article describes how to model a simulation system of satellite track. It is described that use OpenGL Graphics API to render a simple earth model with texture and apply the blending function of OpenGL to add cloud effect on the earth in order to model a three-dimensional earth with real effect. A lighting model based on OpenGL is studied, in the simulation system, the non-disturbed motion model of a satellite by using the six orbital elements and visualizing of the satellite orbit are realized. Based on the model, a computation method to warn the collision between satellites is proposed, which is easy to compute and extendable to warn the collision between more general space targets. The whole simulation system is very important for aerospace experiences.
