Land records management processes and technology developed in the US can be successfully and cost effectively implemented in developing countries. Photogrammetry, GPS surveying and GIS analysis modules can enable citizens in developing countries to quickly achieve secure land tenure. This paper addresses not only the role today's geospatial technology plays in securing land tenure for citizens in developing countries, but also how policy reform can protect the land rights of the poor and other vulnerable groups such as women.
