The ferrite powders, which have variable kinds of compositions and particle sizes, are developed for the electromagnetic wave absorber material. These powders compose the compounds with resin or rubber,which are manufactured to the films and sheets for radio wave absorber, especially for the frequency from 10MHz to 2 GHz. The high frequency characteristics are investigated by the complex permeability from 1 MHZ to 18GHz. The peak of loss factor (imaginary partμ" ) depends on the composition of Mn-Zn ferrite and Ni-Zn ferrite. The frequency dependence of two types of the ferrite composition, the high and low μi or low-loss, are compared. The effect of the particle size of ferrite powder is also significant. The authors prepare the Ni-Zn-Ferrite powders, which have the wide range particle size from submicron to 100 μm by the special materials processing. The frequency characteristics of the electromagnetic absorption can be controlled by the composition and the particle size of Mn-Zn and Ni-Zn ferrite powder.
