Gas and Dust Control Technique Base on Hydraulic Extrusion in Roadway

In order to solve problems of gas outburst, gas accumulation and dust pollution during the process of developing coal roadway, hydraulic extrusion technique suitable to coal seam condition in Qidong mine is studied. The mechanism of control gas and dust by hydraulic extrusion is discussed. Some technical parameters, such as borehole layout, depth of sealing borehole, water injection pressure, water injection quantity and time are determined by field experiment. The studied results show that the width of pressure relief strip is increased 0.7 m after hydraulic extrusion, nearly 20 percent original gas in coal seam is extruded, and the highest dust elimination coefficient achieved 78.7 percent. The effect of hydraulic extrusion for preventing gas and dust is remarkable. The obtained technical porameters can provide work foundation for coal roadway with similar coal condition.
