In this paper, the influence of windows was analyzed on thermal ventilation in workshop. The influence was also numerically simulated by k-ε turbulanee model and CFD software. In designing natural ventilation, to coordinate the dimensions between the inlet and outlet openings and to play down the neutral plane properly may be the effective measures to increase ventilation efficiency. In supervising ventilation, the cooperation should be intensified between the inlet windows, the upper-side windows and clerestories in order that airflow short-circuits may be avoided. The simulation results was verified by ventilation reform practice.The windows were reconstructed to improve ventilation. After ventilation reform, the temperature falls 3.3-5.7°C in the working region. The hot environment of the workshop has been greatly improved.
