Whether the draft of scene is correct has a direct effect on the results of accident analysis in disposal of traffic accident. The bird's-eye-photos are distorted by some factors such as angle of bird's-eye view and the gradient of road in the information processing. The distortions exert a serious influence on the following processing of the images for traffic accident scene. Therefore the geometry correction must be accomplished to reduce or eliminate the error of bird's-eye-photos before the following processing of the images. The model for bird's-eye-photo geometry correction of traffic accident scene is set up by introducing the technology of image processing. The mathematics model for transformation of coordinate is set up to realize the bird's-eye-photo geometry correction of traffic accident scene. The method is selected to acquire the actual coordinate of reference point quickly on the basic of this mathematics model. The method of image registration for bird's-eye-photos is proposed. Then the validity of model is checked by exemplification. The basis is provided for the realization of the image information processing for traffic accident scene.
