The short range wireless network has continued to develop and its application in industry has grown significantly. However, there are still some problems. In this paper, we introduce the characters of short range wireless networks, and present the analysis of the problems by the example of ZigBee. Then we focus on the TSMP (Time Synchronized Mesh Protocol). Finally, we give an expectation of wireless Hart technology which is on the basis of TSMP.
