摘要

The outcomes of this study suggest that the optimal positioning of the PT is just upstream of the ETT outlet: indeed, in this region, the PFC flow is fully-developed and the fluid dynamic perturbation induced by the presence of the catheter is lower.The developed CFD model represents a useful tool for the design of an instrumented ETT for TLV that is a fundamental step towards the optimization of the ventilator-patient interface.
