Based on the experience of previous customized integrations and on the outcome of different R&D collaborative projects, Sener developed a neutral framework for the integration of CAD in different PLM environments that, in addition to the exchange of information, delegates functionalities from the CAD to the PLM system, and provides access to this functionality from within the CAD environment. This solution has been implemented so far between Windchill and Foran, in a first release, covering a first step in the integration. But there is a lot of space for going farther. In agreement with most significant Sener customers, as well as with PTC, we are currently developing a set of integration tools, based in the same core architecture, that suppose an advanced step in the CAD-PLM connection functionalities, with a tighter level of integration between them, including security access to data, configuration management and other disciplines.
