摘要

The transient signals produced by power system fault can not be analyzed by typical Fourier analysis. Wavelet transform provides an effective tool for non — stationary signals analysis, by its excellent properties in both time domain and frequency domain. The simulation model of a simple fault power system is built in Matlab/Simulink environment. And Wavelet transform (discrete wavelet transform) was used in the current and votlage produced by the fault power system. At last, the discrete wavelet transform was used in fault location, and proved to be efficient by the simulation.
