摘要

This study aims at exploring air passengers' willingness to pay for carbon offsets,especially, from the perspectives of Asian passengers. Using the contingent valuationmethod of double-bounded dichotomous choice format, this study surveyed over 1,000Taiwanese passengers flying to countries in Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceaniato elicit their willingness to pay for airline carbon offsets. The interval regression modelis developed for econometric analysis. Results suggest that in spite of the tripcharacteristics and personal backgrounds, air travel passengers' knowledge andperceptions of carbon offset scheme also dominate the stated willingness to pay.
