Plasma treatment was done to improve the hydrophobic functions ofnonwoven geotextiles. We compared the separation and reinforcement performancethrough frictional properties, before and after plasma treatment. Friction tests wereexamined in the interface between geomembranes and nonwoven geotextiles. Thefrictional performance was analyzed by the peak shear stress and the residual shearstress. The long-term performance of these geotextiles could be determined andanalyzed from the experimental results before and after plasma treatment.
