The TiO_2 entrapped PVDF membranes (TiO_2/PVDF) were prepared by adding different amounts of TiO_2 particles into the casting solution. The catalytic property of TiO_2/PVDF membranes was investigated with removing high concentration of ammonia wastewater. Several factors of removal rate of ammonia were investigated, such as crystal of TiO_2, ozone dosage, catalyst dosage, residence time, pH value and reaction temperature. The results showed that the rutile TiO_2 has optimum removal effect for ammonia. Increasing the ozone dosage can increase the removal rate of ammonia either in ozonation alone or catalyzed ozonation. The removal rate of ammonia increased with the amount of TiO_2/PVDF membrane dosage, while it has no significant change when the membrane dosage was above 1 g/L. The optimum pH value is about 9.1 The result indicated that 20°C was an optimum temperature.
