The discussions presented in this paper refer to the possibilities of bioclimatic and energy sanation of the law protected ambient, which was carried out in the case study of house No. 17 in the Street Bac Fortress Suburbium. Research involved investigation of traditional build principles in Vojvodina, as well as identifying the best methodology in terms of allotment reorganization, installation of sanitation facilities in residential and auxiliary facilities, with special attention to energy efficiency and usage of renewable energy. The aim was to show the necessary steps in the research methodology and with the obtained conclusions offer the guidelines for the improvement of living comfort and energy efficiency of the observed buildings. Since the energy retrofit of the building was possible for implementing only in the interior of the main house, certain steps have been made in the upgrade of auxiliary facilities which were also in the favorable orientation for producing the heat energy.
