In this paper, we will walk through various testing options for mobile applications (browser and native), using testing scripts generated via HP Mobile TruClient, Emulator, and Proxy and how we used the tools in our organization to achieve optimal performance. There are caveats for each methodology, which you will discover from actual case study scenarios. You will learn how to execute performance tests using scripts from LoadRunner. In addition, you will discover best practices for using these tools and will learn about additional tools for mobile developers which enhance the test-tool arsenal for performance engineers. You will also learn about WAN emulation tools, and also be able to extend some of the techniques to other tools (open-source and commercial).
