DuPont is expanding the development of Formacel® 1100 (HFO-1336mzz-Z) as a unique zero ODP, low GWP, non-VOC, nonflammable foam expansion agent that provides a balanced option for environmental sustainability, excellent performance and cost effective conversion. Formacel® 1100 is being launched as a liquid foaming agent offering where outstanding insulation performance is required in building walls, roofs, appliances and refrigerated containers. This poster will discuss continued research efforts and customer developmental activities that illustrate key attributes for Formacel® 1100 including energy efficiency, thermal and chemical stability, formulation flexibility, and long term performance and retention in thermoset foams. Specific examples related to appliance and spray polyurethane foam will be covered.
