Today's multimedia, wireless applications increasing complexity which is motivation for the system designers to innovate continuously. The strongly emerging class Coarse-Grained Re-configurable Architecture (CGRA), is currently receiving high attention. CGRA has excellent performance with flexibility in fabrication techniques. Reconfigurable fabric (RF) is main part of CGRA processor. This paper gives a innovative design of processing element (PE) of reconfigurable fabric(RF) to achieve parallel processing techniques for edge detection. RF contains set of processing elements (PE) with mesh type of arrangement for 2 dimensional processing of image edge detection technique. This implemented design is evaluated by analyzing images of various sizes.
