The thesis illustrates current situation of the allocation of sports resources in China by means of research methods such as documents, factor analysis and logical analysis etc. The author suggests that after 2008 Beijing Olympics, the cognitive concept and management mode that most investments on sports resources are likely to go competitive sports should be switched; the principle and basis that mass sports should be develop in priority should be established; the transition from existing various kinds of sports resources to mass sports and then to rural sports should be realized; the balanced share of public sports resources should be guaranteed and its public benefit nature should be kept. Therefore, an harmonious sports atmosphere can be created, and the sustainable development of sports causes such as mass sports, sport tourism, and sport volunteer etc. can be promoted as well.
