In order to analyze and study future research directions and problems to be solved of large-scale wind power base on planning and construction, takes large-scale wind power base in Gansu province for example, planning principles of wind power base, output characteristics, connected system design, reactive power compensation configuration, joint operation of wind farms and other issues of large-scale wind power base were detailed analyzed, and made some constructive comments and suggestions, it give reference value for subsequent planning and construction of large-scale wind power base.
