Publish/Subscribe system has emerged as effective information exchange model for distributed systems, where publishers are responsible for injecting information into system and subscribers consume that information. For Such kind of systems many times focus of researchers is on concepts like event forwarding, event routing. Very less work is done on providing security to pub/sub systems. This paper focuses on various techniques which provides confidentiality and access control in context of publish/subscribe system.
