Time series of selected meteorological elements on stations in the military quarters area of Černá Pole (KCP) were compared with data from other weather stations in the nearby area. We evaluated reliability and continuity of data with an emphasis on measuring outages over a period of 1 year. Furthermore, we calculated values of basic statistical characteristics that were used to compare two sets of time series. The results confirmed that the air temperature data are spatially consistent, but certain locations are mainly influenced by variable radiation conditions related to the barriers surrounding stations and the presence of artificial surfaces. Wind conditions at urban stations are greatly influenced by higher surface roughness. Precipitation conditions show a high degree of natural variability. Additionally, the surroundings of the stations factor in as well (a rain shadow due to vegetation), together with the quality of rain gauges (heater presence) and their maintenance.
