Driven by the fierce market competition, manufacturing companies have to upgrade their products constantly to meet the growing market demand. The change of the update-cycle brings a great deal of uncertainty to the manufacturing/remanufacturing hybrid system, which makes production decision more difficult. To solve this problem, we establish a hybrid manufacturing/remanufacturing production decision model with stable market environment and uncertain update-cycle for life-cycle products. And a new hybrid algorithm combined genetic algorithm and artificial fish-swarm algorithm with chaos search strategy is proposed to get an optimal hybrid manufacturing/remanufacturing production decision. Finally, a case study is addressed to verify the rationality and validity of the proposed method.
