摘要

Construction industry is one of the most hazardous industries which needs a complete assess and deals with various tools to constantly uphold its health and safety performance. Safety management is essential to manage hazards and improve success in project accomplishment. This study was conducted to examine the existing position of OHSMS in the Indian construction industry. The consciousness levels of OHSMS among different construction types were examined to recognize the consequence of OHSMS among different types of construction industry. The questionnaire was developed to investigate the difference of OHSMS consciousness between residential and commercial type constructions. This study displays different OHSMS consciousness levels among residential and commercial type constructions. The differences were troubles and success of executing OHSMS, outside assist required for implementing OHSMS and incentive for enlarging OHSMS. The consequence of these differences can be further examined with appropriate data set and it warrants additional studies in the future.
