In the evaluation of the design parameters of weathered granite, as the geotechnical properties of weathered granite are affected by the weathering process, it is important to determine the relationship between the geotechnical properties and the weathering degree. In this study, to determine the geotechnical characteristics of highly weathered granite, several chemical weathering indices and mechanical properties were analyzed. VR (Vogt’s ratio), CIA (chemical index of alteration) and Imob (mobile index) were used to assess the weathering degree. All the normalized geotechnical properties showed a good correlation with VR, CIA, and Imob
