Singapore's power generation market went through a significant change from a regulated to a high competitive deregulated market. Senoko Power Ltd., Singapore's biggest power generator, faced this challenge by proactive investment to ensure continued competitiveness. Part of Senoko Power's strategy involved the conversion of an existing steam power plant into a high efficient gas fired combined cycle power plant. This strategy did also address the changing environmental requirement. This paper describes and gives an overview on ALSTOM's successful project execution of Senoko Power Stage I Development Project.
