The problem of selection the useful components of surface electromyography signals in prosthetic systems is discussed. The useful EMG signal is used to register muscle contractions and to classify gestures. Problematic factors are the technical disadvantages of the method perception myoelectric signals caused by contact and kinetic parameters of the skin. The combination of statistical inhomogeneity of the electric signal is aggravated by the presence of additive noise and interference. The purpose of the work is to assess the types of interference by the character of the impact on the signal, by the sources of their occurrence, by the probabilistic characteristics and choose a filtering method. The biophysical signal processing method using a mathematical apparatus based on discrete wavelet - Conversion has been proposed. According to the results of simulation using software and hardware from National Instruments, useful signals with a high level of signal-to-noise ratio for controlling the prototype of a bionic prosthesis were identified.
