The article proposes a method for estimating the power parameters of power amplifiers of single-band radio transmitters with envelope tracking, via a deterministic dual-frequency test signal instead of a random single-band signal modulated by speech. An estimate of losses in a controlled power supply source from the voltage at its output and the current at its load, provided that the voltage of the battery is constant. A measurement scheme is proposed for obtaining experimental data of the controlled power supply source losses. The relations obtained make it possible to see (according to the dual-frequency test signal measurement results) the power consumption of the final stage of the envelope-tracking power amplifier with speech-modulation. The relations between the power consumption of the output stage during amplification of a random speech signal and during amplification of a dual-frequency test signal were obtained both with and without taking into account the losses in a controlled power supply source.
