Internet of Things (IoT) is rising innovation and it regularly utilizes wireless network between two or more smart objects or smart things connected via the Internet. Vehicle tracking is a software that tracks a bus and accumulates the separation to each transport stop along its route. In tracking System, an electronic device is installed in a bus, with an installed mobile application on any smart mobile phone to permit the Administrator/User to measure and track the bus area and distance. Two applications are introduced which is for server and user. Buses which are installed with GPS modules are utilized to track their positions and measure the distance. These positions data is given to the server are periodical. User software displays google map showing the position of the bus on a smartphone. Traditionally, the transportation services provided by the school for students and staff were not reliable, there was a lack of communication with parents, and pick-drop services for students were not secured. With the development in technology, the GPS system was familiarized for tracking of school buses but the system was less secured. So, IoT was introduced where the system got more reliable, efficient, light-weight and secure. It shows where buses are located on a map and provide students and staffs the updated information at different time interval using RTC. Area is being observed by server and it's being saved in database. Equipment segment is utilized named Raspberry Pi. It is absorbed into the cloud and have the capacity to access through the mobile software. The objective is that the time postponement of the client can be limited. In Bus Tracking framework the method of communication is modest and steadfast. This application can be overextended for a central tracking framework to keep track of all the buses. The different concern and reliable route management can be easily done through central server system Also the use of MQTT instead of the traditionally used Hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) will be light weight, data efficient and scalable. This proposes idea works on the backend as well as the frontend required for the following framework and exhibited the enhancements.
