More java cards will be used in 5G network applications in the form of eSim. China’s 5G technology will use both SM cryptographic algorithm and the international traditional algorithm. It is particularly important to compare the difference between the SM algorithm and the traditional algorithm in power consumption. In the paper, the power consumption is analyzed and compared between SM2, SM3, SM4 and RSA, SHA-256, DES, AES through measurement method. The difference and advantage between them is evaluated.
