In the era of all media, market competition in the new media industry has intensified. In order to compete for scarce attention resources, the concept of user-centered network news products has emerged, which imposes new requirements on the competence structure of practitioners. However, the network news talents trained by universities can hardly meet this demand. This paper discusses the training of network news talents based on product orientation. First, it introduces the work related to network news products and network news talents cultivation. Then, the concept of product-oriented network news talent training is discussed and analyzed in terms of talent training objectives, curriculum, teaching mode, faculty, and practice system.
