摘要

The online teaching platform provides quantitative analysis data of students’ learning behavior. An empirical research is carried out on the online course of science and technology English, as one of ESP (English for Specific Purpose). Through data analysis, some factors affecting students’ academic performance are found, and they are evaluated objectively and comprehensively. Studies have shown that the number of courseware visits, classroom participation, and homework completion are positively correlated with final exam scores. The frequency of courseware opening and the length of learning are related to the way the teaching content is presented. Correspondingly, the addition of short and powerful micro-teaching videos, such as “Wordflash card” vocabulary learning and animated grammar teaching videos, effectively extends the learning time and improves the teaching effect.
