Pyrolysis of DMMP - a simulant for sarin-GB has been carried out at temperature range of 1300-1800K and around 1 atm pressure. Intermediate species concentrations (CO and CH_4) were measured using 4.6um laser and 3400 nm laser respectively. Laser diagnostics scheme for DMMP detection and measurement was developed at 9.569 um using C02 gas laser. Future work is to obtain time resolved data for decomposition of the parent compound using the new diagnostic. From the preliminary experiments, it was found that LLNL model underpredicts CO yield during DMMP pyrolysis. The experimental data collected in this study will be extremely useful in refinement and validation of kinetic model for combustion of OPC simulants.
