摘要

Effective placement of IoT sensors in any equipment isthe first step to realize a smart factory. Even though manyenergy efficient solutions are available to enhance life timeof an IoT sensor, additional maintenance is required toreplace batteries after a stipulated amount of time. Toovercome this additional burden and realize a ZeroMaintenance Sensor System (ZMSS), we comparedrequired transmit power of an antenna element betweenTime Sharing (Space Time Beam Forming (STBF)) andBeam Splitting (Max-Sum & Max-Min) algorithms with 2types of sensors: Ultra Low Power (ULP) and Low Power(LP) consumption sensors in the order of 100uW & 10mW.
