In product development companies and educational institutions the basic requirement for measurement devices is to measure the voltage or current with high precision, which can be fulfilled by Digital Multi Meters (DMM). In some cases where variable power has to be measured, requires an additional power measurement device. Instead, the existing DMM [Agilent 34401A] itself can be assisted by python program to compute the approximate power. This was achieved by modifying the input measurement connection and employing fast measurement technique. This helps in power measurement with high precision and elimination of additional measurement devices which in-turn enables cost optimization.
