Low-rent housing system is always one of the most important parts of China’s housing security system. Though the system was built long ago, for the restriction of many factors, it doesn’t develop well and it has become the key factor for the current structural unbalance of the real estate market. For this reason, since the seventeenth national congress of the communist party of China and the “two meeting” of this year, the government will intensify the efforts to build low-rent houses to adjust the housing structure, however, the capital gap would be the main obstacle of its development. By analyzing the current capital source of the low-rent housing, this article will reveal the current situation of the capital gap of the low-rent housing and the reason of capital lacking, in order to give opinions and suggestions on solving the low-rent housing capital gap problem.
