Construction of Fragility Functions for Steel Beam-to-Column Connections Considering Concrete Slab-Effect

The main findings are summarized as follows.(1) The fragility functions for bare beam-to-columnconnections with different connection details weredeveloped based on the experimental data for each damagestate. The ductility capacity of conventional type weldaccesshole was about half as large as that of JASS6 type.(2) The fragility functions for the composite beam-to-columnconnections were generated based on the experimental data.In positive bending, the yielding of the composite beamsoccurs 20% earlier than that of bare beams because of thecomposite action. The ductility capacity of the compositebeams reduced to 61% of that of the bare beams.(3) The dataset of composite beam-to-column connections hasnot only the limited number of data but also bias in crosssection dimensions. Therefore, it is necessary to propose arational but simple way to increase the size of the dataset.
