After Superstorm Sandy, NGOs in New York City were involved in various activities supporting survivors' housing recovery, including direct involvement in the repair and construction of housing. NGO support for housing reconstruction includedto support people whose needs were not covered by BIB. The coordination mechanism of the Sandy Unmet Needs Roundtable, funded by non-governmental support and relying on a network of donors and NGO organizations, also plays a crucial link to connect resources to survivors who need support.
