A procedure is proposed for the accurate calculation of the modalcurrents that propagate along each wire of excited multiconductortransmission lines (MTLs), having whatever configuration. The radiatedelectromagnetic (EM) field from each modal current is predicted by usingrigorous formulations, which are valid for lines of finite length and adissipative ground plane. The developed approaches are applied to theanalysis of the modal electromagnetic interference (EMI) radiated from atwo-wire signal line and of a signal carrier channel on a multiconductorpower line
