In view of the many and varied test standards and measurementmethods for determining the shielding effectiveness of enclosures, astructured test programme is required from which shielding effectivenessproperties of conductive plastic (and indeed other forms of enclosures)can be measured and evaluated effectively. This paper presents aqualification programme for the shielding effectiveness evaluation ofconductive plastic enclosures, highlighting the need for anindustry-harmonised standard. The suggested programme providesmanufacturers and users of conductive plastic enclosures with a testingregime that facilitates the acquisition of meaningful data from whichequipment designers and end users can reliably simulate and designequipment enclosures
