This paper describes a new, low-VOC, water-soluble fluoropolymer silanol resin that, when applied to stone and concrete surfaces, repels oil and water-based stains. Test data is presented that demonstrates the stain resistance of both stone and concrete when treated with the fluoropolymer alone and in combination with another resin system. Potential applications for this new fluoropolymer are discussed.
