摘要

In this paper we have reported the electrical and electrorheological(ER)behaviors of before and after grafted polyacene quinone radical(PAQR)polymer-silicone oil composites, and found experimentally that the conduction and polarization mechanismsof PAQR is the same before and after being grafted, also their electrorheological characteristics has no marked change, such as both current-voltage and torque-voltage dependence follow power law. However, the current of ER fluid for grafted PAQR reduces, and the mean shear stress increases. In the temperature ranging from 10°C to 100°C,ER activity of BR fluid for non-grafted PAQR has maximum at certain temperature, while for grafted PAQR it keeps on rising.
